01Introduction
Densy (“Densy”, “we”, “us”) operates Densy Club, an AI-assisted scalp-health analysis service available at densy.club. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.
By using Densy Club you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
02Data controller & contact
Densy is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at support@densy.club.
[Registered entity name & address — to confirm.]
03The data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
Name, email address, and account identifiers, provided through our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign up or sign in.
Answers you give about your hair and scalp — e.g. loss pattern, life phase, hair curvature, focus zone, current status, systemic load, scalp mobility, and goals. Some of this is health-related information (see §4).
The microscopic scalp photographs you upload — up to five zones per scan — plus any comments you add.
Data our models generate from your scans: density scores, follicles-per-cm², follicle-state percentages, dominant state, image-quality score, reconquest signals, and written observations.
Your subscription status, plan, trial dates, billing currency, and payment-provider identifiers. Card details are handled directly by Stripe; we never store your full card number.
Device, browser, language and theme preferences (stored in cookies), and basic analytics about how you use the service.
04Health-related data
Your scalp photographs, profile answers, and the analysis derived from them may constitute health data / special-category personal data under data-protection law (including the EU/UK GDPR).
We process this data only with your explicit consent, given when you submit your scans and complete your profile. You can withdraw consent at any time (see §10), which will stop further processing of that data.
05How and why we use your data
We use your data for the following purposes, each on the legal basis noted:
- To provide scalp analysis and personalized protocols — performance of our contract with you; your explicit consent for health data.
- To create, secure, and manage your account — contract; legitimate interests.
- To process subscriptions, trials, and payments — contract; legal obligation.
- To improve and maintain the service and our models — legitimate interests, with safeguards.
- To communicate with you about your account, scans, and service updates — contract; legitimate interests.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud and misuse — legal obligation; legitimate interests.
06AI processing
Your scan images and profile data are processed by AI models (including services provided by OpenAI) to generate density and follicle-state analysis. This processing is automated.
The results are informational and do not constitute medical advice or diagnosis (see our Terms & Conditions). We do not use this data to make legally significant automated decisions about you.
07Service providers we share data with
We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf under contract:
We do not sell your personal data.
08International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect it.
09Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account or withdraw consent, we delete or anonymize your scans, profile, and analysis within a reasonable period — except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.
10Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may exercise any of the following rights over your personal data:
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise any right, email support@densy.club.
11Security
We use technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and trusted infrastructure providers — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.
12Children
Densy Club is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact support@densy.club and we will delete it.
13Cookies & preferences
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language and theme. We do not use them for cross-site advertising.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date; significant changes will be communicated to you.
